IELTS and PTE are both Standard English Language exams that applicants to universities and colleges abroad must take. Although the majority of colleges and universities accept both IELTS and/or PTE scores, there are situations when a certain institution or university may favor one exam over the other. IELTS is a paper-based exam with a scale of 1 to 9, whereas PTE is a computer-based exam with a scale of 10 to 90 points.
The overall PTE Score had a range of 10 to 90 points. PTE has no predetermined good score. Each college or university will have a recommended PTE score that applicants must meet to be considered for admission. Therefore, applicants must make sure they obtain the PTE Score that the college or university requires. As a general rule, students who wants to pursue their studies overseas will have more chances if they receive better grades.
The PTE Score may not always be to the student’s liking, in which case the student may choose to retake the test. The PTE Academic exam can be taken as many times as the student desires, but they must wait until they have received the results of their previous PTE test before applying for another.
In Canada, Australia, the United Kingdom, and New Zealand, institutions and colleges often recognize the PTE Academic exam. In addition to the nations previously mentioned, numerous other educational institutions use PTE scores in their admissions procedures.
